Description

Burgess Park is the largest park in Southwark. The park was created to help transform one of Southwark's most densely populated areas in the wake of the second world war blitz. Today the park is home to a sports pavilion, cafe (at Chumleigh Gardens) and plenty of grassy areas. There is also a lake in the corner close to Old Kent Road and Albany Road, part of which is used for fishing.
